I'm a little on the crazy side these days. I left my job a while back to care for my mother who now lives with me. She has had some health problems due to a fall. She is getting better and I get out more these days, but it has changed my life quite a bit. I was a self employed business man most of my life, but a divorce about eight years ago prompted me to move here and I went a little middle age crazy. I spent some time on a motorcycle, some as a pro poker player, a stint as a handyman, and now I am working on restoring classic cars for a fee. I work on it part time, still play quite a bit of poker and have another small income source.

Some Vegas women are really a trip. I like the kind that sit in front of an obnoxiously loud machine for hours pumping money in and collecting free drinks. Others use words like "tina", "spun", "8 er", and "quickie" in their daily vocabulary. Still others think of a stable home environment as a pre paid week at the Budget or Seigel Suites. I have even dated a couple that haven't had a drivers license or ID for years. Many of us have had a rough go of it over the last decade. I don't judge anyone anymore. I try to take things as they come and not concern myself too much with what the future has in store. It takes a lot of energy worrying about it all. It probably will even shorten your life if you let it get to you. I don't have too much patience anymore for those trying to live up to others expectations. Life is short and our time is getting shorter. Lets just try to enjoy ourselves. If all we get from each other is a few hours of laughter, I figure that's beats the heck out of nothing at all. Lately I've been thinking I am getting too much of the nothing.
